A magazine started in 1951 that highlighted the African American community in the United States in an era where Black issues and people were not reported on in the mainstream. This was a weekly magazine until 2009 and it was in print until 2014. A friend and I almost set his house on fire when we were watching one of these and it overheated and melted. I wasn’t allowed to come to his house again because of it even though it wasn’t MY projector.
